zooming is too coarse to be useful:

it nows goes in steps via the mouse in the dialog box: 100-75-50-33-25% this is too coarse

how can i finetune it? for example to 97% or 83% or ...

when pinching with my fingers on my touchpad on my laptop, the whole screen (inclusive the user interface zooms in/out)

Please try scrolling instead of pinching, does that work?
(on a laptop, on tablet/phone pinching should work for zooming)

I cannot scroll, I do not have a mouse, only a touchpad on my laptop.
But it does work when I use 2 fingers on the touchpad, I guess this is the same as scrolling with a mouse wheel.

Maybe interesting to add that to your help section as well.
I also found some nice tips in your news section, but that are not mentioned in help, while people first read the help section, instead of news...
